DRGLOWBAL → VIA GLOWBAL

From career direction to study abroad.

Use what you learn about yourself to compare courses, countries and the practical route ahead. A useful next step starts with fit, eligibility, cost and timing.

You do not need a university shortlist yet.

If you are still choosing school subjects or exploring careers, begin with career pathways and keep several options open. When you have a direction to investigate, use the four checks below to turn it into a practical study plan. Studying abroad is one option alongside routes closer to home.

DrGlowbal is a career counselling tool by Via Glowbal. This is a short introduction to the next stage; detailed destination research, applications and arrival planning continue on Via Glowbal.

FOUR CHECKS BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Build evidence for your next decision.

  1. Turn a career direction into a course brief

What do you want to learn, and what work would you like to try?

Write down two possible subjects, the skills you want to develop and one alternative route. Compare actual modules, assessment methods and practical experience before choosing a degree title.

  2. Check your entry route

What evidence does this specific programme require?

Make a checklist for your qualification, subjects, grades, language evidence, portfolio or entrance test. Record the official programme page and the application deadline. Requirements can differ between programmes at the same university.

  3. Build the full budget

Can your plan work with funding you can actually rely on?

Include tuition, living costs, insurance, applications, travel and a contingency. Keep confirmed funding separate from scholarships you have not received. Compare at least one route with a different total cost.

  4. Put the steps in order

What must happen before you can apply, accept or travel?

Work backwards from your intended intake. Allow time for tests, documents, applications and the relevant visa process. Once your study plans are confirmed, check your campus, arrival date and accommodation before booking travel.

FICTIONAL PLANNING EXAMPLE

“I enjoy biology” is a starting point.

A student could compare biomedical science, public health and patient-facing careers. The next useful task is to inspect course content, practical training and the qualification required for the kind of work they want. If a route leads to a regulated profession, they should check recognition with the relevant regulator in the country where they intend to practise.

Their first shortlist can then compare entry requirements, total cost and learning experience. A degree name or a high ranking alone does not answer those questions.

TWO PLACES TO START YOUR RESEARCH

Compare the route, not just the destination.

Italy

Start with the exact programme and its admission instructions. Compare the subjects taught, language, entry evidence and any test or portfolio. Keep university admission, funding applications and the official steps before travel as separate parts of your checklist.

Germany

Begin by checking how your previous qualification fits the proposed entry route. Compare programme prerequisites and teaching language, then identify the documents and financial preparation relevant to your own circumstances. Read the named university’s instructions before assuming that one route applies everywhere.

These are research prompts, not an eligibility decision. Via Glowbal’s destination guides point you towards more detailed research; current university and official instructions determine your requirements.
